Job Description:

As HEX vehicle engineer, you will partner with and provide technical guidance to technical teams and coach team members, you will direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of systems and configuration, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects to ensure products provide superior customer value in comparison to the competition in terms of features, performance, durability, and quality, with considerations of cost, manufacturing, velocity, and serviceability.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Be accountable for the design or improvement of complex systems including advanced concepts that align the product strategy, understand complex technical problems and demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions
• Must demonstrate the ability to develop and perform on a complex project or program and direct the work with other units, suppliers, customers, and teams
• Must demonstrate skill in negotiation, building consensus, and achieving compromise
• Strong communication, spatial and conceptual design skills, an understanding of customers’ needs and product application as well as the competitive products, and understanding cost drivers
• keeping up-to-date with technology and developing increased technical breadth and/or depth
• Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all of the following: design and promote new products; define the program, machine configuration, and modularity strategy; develop and manage the project/program to the plan; evaluate new products and competitive products, perform product maintenance; keep up-to-date on new technologies or develop new technologies; communicate technology to customers, team members, suppliers, and other units; and support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, suppliers, and other process partners

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience for excavator design
• Strong background in Excavator Design Category such as EIC, Hydraulics, E&E and etc
• Experience of leading Excavator Engineering Project on Machine Level, layout performance, configuration, matching and calculation
• Experience of project management / issue resolution
• Be Familiar with national standard of excavator
• Be Familiar with China Market and customers
• Strong communication skills to lead multiple teams
• Fluent in both Chinese and English
• Flexibility to travel

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related
• 8 years engineering experience for excavator design
