The development of new healthcare technology and expanded data utilization offers great opportunities for an R&D organization to upscale in both what and how we deliver innovative life-saving therapeutics for patients in need, bringing the convergence of clinical science, data and technology. For example, AI enabled digital biomarkers, digital endpoints, digital patient solutions etc to detect and/or confirm the presence of a disease or condition of interest, and/or to identify subgroup of patients with high un-met medical need (e.g., disease sub-typing, or treatment responder etc), and/or patient care and AE and symptom management etc.
In this role, he/she will provide research and analysis needed for strategy and tactic setting, to support or lead internal and external communications to uplift organization level awareness and understanding, with a focus on AI and data science related healthcare technologies, solutions, and industry trends. He/she is expected to provide technical support on methods and technologies implementation as data science SME for innovation project teams. He/she is expected to support ecosystem shaping and external player engagement.
Major responsibilities
- Keep up with technology and data science field advancements in healthcare applications

Conduct intelligence assessment and report, with focus on data production, data analytics, AI advancement, digital health platform.- Proactively support strategy and tactic discussion on data science relevant components, (e.g. healthcare data connectors, AI and applications, computational modelling for disease and personalized medicine understanding, prebuild application modules as well as tools enabling solution customization)
- Establish communication channels aiming to uplift the organization level awareness and understanding
- Support network building and maintaining with internal SMEs /external KEEs
- Support translating corporate and org level digital and data strategy into transformative opportunities and innovation project roadmap.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Advanced degree in biomedical engineering or data science related majors, Ph.D preferred
- Excellent learning agility
- Strong critical thinking capability
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong inter-personal skills including listening and influencing
- Effective problem and conflict resolution skills and proven team focus. Able to manage ambiguity with high resilience
- Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context is a strong plus
