The successful candidate will work on the implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of the process control systems, ensuring their reliability and optimization. The Process Control System Technician will be responsible for the overall health of these systems and will work to minimize any downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Excellent experience in the configuration of DCS control system (Yokogawa, ABB, Emerson) and ESD.
• Strong technical knowledge in field instrumentation for oil and gas facilities including switches and transmitters (level, pressure temperature, flow … etc).
• Oversee the implementation, maintenance and upgrade of the process control systems in the Oil & Energy industry.
• Take ownership of the overall health and reliability of the control systems and identify areas for improvement to reduce downtime.
• Ensure the control systems are working at optimal capacity and proactively troubleshoot any issues to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Test and commission control systems, ensuring that they meet the operational performance requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering documents for the systems, including the necessary drawings and schematics.
• Effectively communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders about the progress of projects.
• Strictly follow safety guidelines and procedures to mitigate any potential system hazards.

Requirements:

• B.S. Digital or Instrumentation ENGINEERING
• Min 10 years’ experience in PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS.
• Knowledge and experience working with industrial control systems including programming logic controllers (PLC) and distributed control systems (DCS).
• Comfortable with electrical and instrumentation systems and common software applications.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems under pressure.
• Knowledge of Honeywell Experion PKS and Siemens PCS7 systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
